computer presentations - no more back and forth between laptop computer and audience

No More Back and Forth
Think about it. With the Penta Sport remote mouse there will be no more "Back and Forth" to and from the laptop. It will add an extra level of professionalism to your PowerPoint presentations. Now you won't have to think about your laptop computer very much at all (unless somehow your personal photos get mixed into your PowerPoint slides, but even then you won't have to run to the laptop. You can simply click your Penta Laser Mouse). Just think, you will be able to walk around the classroom, lecture hall, gymnasium, or auditorium with the freedom to click wherever and whenever you like (50-60 foot range of course).

What's Up With That Joystick?
I'm talking about that big silver disk in the middle of the Penta Sport remote. That's what they call the Navigation Joystick. I call it the best thing I've EVER seen on a remote mouse. Why? There's a little secret about the joystick that I didn't pickup from the User's Manual. Ok, I was fumbling around with the joystick and I noticed that it allowed me to press in on it. That's when I discovered there's more to this joystick than just X and Y coordinates. Sure enough I was on to something. It turns out the joystick has a built-in clicker!!! A clicker being the left button function on a standard PC mouse. And Why Is This Important? Let me try to explain the ramifications. It means they will have to re-write the books on modern technology (ok, maybe not all the books, but at least the ones that have to do with giving computer presentations). You see the integrated clicker on the joystick means I can advance PowerPoint* slides with the same thing that controls the mouse. Therefore, the significance is that 99 percent of the things that most people do with a remote mouse can all be done with that big easy to find silver disk.

Why is it called the Sport?
Good Question. We called it the Sport because of its black sporty styling and the rubber like plastic finish. The finish looks and even feels like rubber, but it's just a special process that they apply to the plastic. When most people think of a "sport" model they tend to think that it is water proof. However, the Penta Sport is NOT water proof or water resistant or anything like that. The Penta Sport is sporty in many respects like the stylish appearance, the ergonomic design, and the high performance receiver, but just remember it's not water proof.

How does it compare with the original?
The Penta Laser Mouse has been around since 2002 and during that time it evolved a little, but always kept the same ergonomic design. The new Penta Sport is about the same size, but has a different shape. Is it still ergonomic? The answer is yes, it is still very ergonomic. It feels as natural in your hand as the original. The most interesting improvement is that the Laser Button is now located on the bottom side like a trigger. This makes finding the Laser Button easy even in dark rooms. The bottom line is that if you liked the original Penta Laser Mouse then you're going to love the new Sport!
