9/6/11 - WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL
With fall comes school. Don't you just love those strong emotions you get when school and fall roll around each year. It's a crisp feeling that comes from the start of a new year combined with cooler weather. For many people the season invokes strong memories from childhood, teen-hood, and young adulthood. Yes, I know "back to school" can also have some negative feelings attached as we dread the end of summer vacation. However, I think that in this case the positive emotions outweigh the negative. In any case, I wish a great new school year to everyone heading back to school this year.

7/8/11 - WHAT IS RF TECHNOLOGY?

The Penta Sport comes with RF technology but what does that mean and why should I care? That's a great question. The acronym "RF" stands for Radio Frequency and it basically means that the Penta Sport uses radio waves to communicate with its receiver. The advantage to radio waves is that they pretty much fill up the room which allows you to use the remote mouse anywhere in the room as long as you are within the 50 foot range of the receiver.

PREVIEW OF FALL 2011 PENTA SPORT REMOTE MOUSE DIAGRAM

Above is a preview of the new Penta Sport Remote Mouse diagram publication for Fall 2011

The Penta Sport could be the best choice for a remote mouse for most computer presentations including PowerPoint*. I like the Ergonomics of this thing. It's not too big and it's not to small. It just feels right in my hand. Of course, I like all that other technical stuff, but the first thing I look for in a remote mouse is if it feels right. I also like the long range. Oh, and I really love that little joystick. That might fall into Ergonomics as well.

QUESTION MARK AUDIENCE

know your audience - computer presentations - cartoon image

Know Your Audience
Get to know your audience or at least try to find out as much about them as possible. This is critical to how you design and deliver your computer presentation. You want to find out what topics in your material are most interesting to your particular group of people. If your audience consists of your co-workers, then your research will be easier. For other audiences, you might have to rely on demographics tools to understand who will be absorbing or not absorbing your material. You want to shorten or delete sections that will only bore your audience. You don't want them to be looking at their watches wondering how much longer they must endure this computer presentation. The ideal scenario is an audience that feels moved, enlightened, educated, or even entertained by your computer presentation.
